FUNKY BLOOMS CARDS

Hi Everyone,

After doing some housework today, I managed to still fit in a bit of card making. I had some Funky Blooms paper scraps leftover from a chipboard album kit. I added "Sticky Bling" to some cards and Ice Stickles as well. I left some cards blank so that people could put their own greeting on them.

I love the bright colours of this paper range. It also looks great when used on scrapbooking layouts.

MY TIME IN MY CRAFT ROOM TODAY

Hi Everyone,

I had a very pleasant day in my craft room today. I tried a new technique that I had seen in a magazine and I had seen this at a craft camp.

Ingredients:

• Watercolour paper
• Stamp of your choice
• Distress Embossing Ink
• White or Black Embossing Powder
• 2 Distress Ink Refills
• Aquash Brush
• Anti-static pillow
• Heat tool
• Mini Mister filled with water

Method:

1. Wipe over the watercolour paper with the anti-static pillow.
2. Stamp your image using the Distress Embossing Ink.
3. Sprinkle either white or black embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake excess powder off the image.
4. Heat with heat tool.
5. Spritz water onto the embossed image. 
6. Dip aquash brush into desired colour of Distress Ink Refill and flood the colour into the area of the embossed image as desired.
7. Dry with the heat tool.

I added eyelets and ribbon to this card.

I added ribbon and dry embossed the white cardstock square.

Cyber Crop - 27th December 2013

Hi Everyone,

I took part in a Cyber Crop on the 27th December, hosted by Amy Taylor. I love these Cyber Crops as you don't know what you are going to create. A bit like mystery scrapping.

With this crop, I learnt a new technique. Using your Distress Ink Pad as a stamp. We cut 2.5" squares from white cardstock and then pressed these squares onto a Distress Ink Pad leaving a white border on the square. Next we stamped an image that fitted onto the square. Next we used an Ink Blending Tool on the edges of each square.

Here is the layout, ready for the title, journaling and embellishing. I will post a photo later of the finished layout. I used photos of my great aunt and cousins. I love scrapbooking with a passion. I might try making cards using this technique. So simple but so effective.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

Hi Everyone,

Well it is that time of year again. I hope you are all enjoying this very happy time of year, seeing family and loved ones. 2014 will be here before we know it.

2014 is going to be a big year for me. I will be taking part in Artist Trading Card swaps every month, as well as, 2 other card swaps. I love scrapbooking and card making with a passion and this is another way of seeing other peoples ideas.

I will be running regular scrapbooking workshops in the school holidays in January in both Parkes and Forbes. Please contact me if you would like a timetable. Cost for each lesson will be $10 and I will be running both morning and afternoon sessions. The morning sessions will start at 10:00 am till 12:00 pm. The afternoon sessions will start at 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm.

I will be running scrapbooking workshops for adults on Fridays. The morning sessions start at 10:00 am till 12:00 pm and afternoon sessions will be at 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm. Cost depends on the workshop chosen.

On the 18th January, I will be attending our Kaszazz Team Training Day in Maitland. Sonya Edwards is running it and I'm sure it will be one to remember. I just can't wait for the new product release.

QUICK UPDATE

Hi Everyone,

It has been a while since I have been on here posting. Time for a quick catch up.

I have joined the Arts and Craft Shops in both Forbes and Bogan Gate.

I have been busy designing wedding invitations, place cards, RSVP's and Thank You's for an upcoming Bridal Expo that is being held in Forbes on the 30th June. This is very exciting for me and the possibilities are endless. Of course, all designs will be made exclusively using only Kaszazz products.

Next, there is the "Things for Kids" Market in Orange on the 7th July. Once again, I have been designing birthday cards, frames and more for this. I love that Kaszazz has everything I need to go ahead with this direction in my business.

I will post photos of my designs once both events have been held. I hope that you understand.

A QUICK CATCH UP

Hi Everyone,

I am going to be quite busy over the next few weeks. I am attending a number of markets and a Bridal Expo at the end of this month.

I have been busy making cards and all things wedding, such as invitations, place cards, Thank You's and RSVP's, as well as a Guest Book. I just love working with cardstock and patterned papers. Stamping is another passion of mine, as you can do so much with them.

I will upload a sneak preview of some of my wedding designs over the weekend, hopefully!

PHOTOS OF CARDS AS PROMISED

The ladies all enjoyed the card making workshop that I held at Jemalong Residential Village.

As promised here are the photos of the cards.

 

In this card, the residents had to colour in the flowers and sayings with chalks and then assemble it.

 

I adapted this card from the card that Sonia Gibson had designed. I just love this tiger stamp.

 

The ladies enjoyed tearing the cardstock and using the Rollagraph stamp for this card.

 

 

The ladies all want me to go back and teach them some more. I really enjoyed seeing the look on their faces when they had completed their cards. It was priceless.

A VERY BUSY DAY TODAY

Hi Everyone,

I have a busy day today. I am organising the kits for my Sunday afternoon workshop for a lovely group of ladies. I love teaching the Tim Holtz techniques. They are just so much fun.

On Sunday morning, I will be teaching a group from the Jemalong Residential Village. They will be making four cards. I will post a photo of the cards when I get a chance.

It really is a great creative activity when you make cards or complete a scrapbooking layout. Kaszazz make it so simple by using their fantastic range of exclusive papers and SB cardstock.

GREAT DAY TODAY

Hi Everyone,

Today I had the pleasure of demonstrating card making to 10 ladies. They were all new to card making and it was great to see them enjoying learning something new. It was a great social event and morning tea and lunch was excellent.

We made cards using our Masking Tape, our gorgeous Tiger stamp and the use of Distress Inks to turn a plain white tag into a really beautiful embellishment.

 

This beautiful card designed by Julie Storti shows how our masking tape can be used in card making.

 

 

This gorgeous card was designed by Sonia Gibson and is titled "Black and White Father's Day Card". It really shows the detail in the Tiger stamp.

 

 

This gorgeous tag was designed by Sonya Edwards and was inspired by Blended Sunset Cards by Simone Slater. I just love using the Distress range of products which Tim Holtz created.

 

I have been asked by these ladies to make it a monthly workshop. This is so exciting for me. I love the opportunity given to me by Kaszazz to teach people to use our amazing range of products. This really is my passion.

LOVING KASZAZZ

Hi Everyone,

I had a great day on the 12th May. I went to Bogan Gate and met a wonderful group of ladies that run the Art and Craft Centre. I demonstrated 3 cards and then everyone had a turn of being creative. It was so much fun.

I demonstrated how to use the following items from Kaszazz:

• Distress Inks

NEW TECHNIQUE WITH DISTRESS MARKERS

Hi Everyone,

Over the weekend, I was having a look at different techniques in card making and papercraft.

I came across one that was called: "Distress Marker Background". This makes an ideal background for your cards or can be used to make embellishments for your layouts.

Items needed:

• Kaszazz Diamond Background or Chevron Background Stamp
• Perfect Medium Inkpad
• Watercolour paper
• Puff Static Away! Pillow
• White Embossing Powder or Black Embossing Powder
• Heat tool
• Mini Mister filled with water
• Distress Markers in your choice of colours

Method:

1. Using your Puff Static Away Pillow, wipe over your piece of watercolour paper.
2. Stamp your background stamp using Perfect Medium Ink.
3. Pour over the White Embossing Powder, and tap gently to remove excess powder.
4. Heat stamped image with the heat tool.
5. Colour in unembossed areas of your stamped and embossed image using the distress markers.
6. Once you have finished colouring in, use your mini mister to spray water onto it.You will see that the colours blend nicely when doing this.
7. Dab excess water off with a paper towel. You can dry the image with a heat tool if desired.

FRIDAY NIGHT KASZAZZ WORKSHOPS

Hi Everyone,

I start teaching regular Kaszazz workshops on a Friday night at the Forbes Sport and Recreation Club, Lachlan Street, Forbes, beginning on 10th May.

Workshops are from 7pm till 9pm. There will be 2 Hour Workshops in Scrapbooking, Card Making, Page 'n' Card and Beyond the Page. Both Beginners and Beyond Beginners will be catered for. These workshops range in price from $25 - $45 per person.

2 Hour Workshops

Masterclass Workshops are for those people who would like to learn more involved techniques and enjoy a challenge. These workshops will run for about 4 hours, and range in price from $50 to $80 per person.

Masterclass Workshops

A FREE Make n Take Demonstration, is where you will see 2 projects demonstrated and then you make 1 project to take home with you. This is great for those who are new to card making or scrapbooking. You just need to invite 4-6 people for a bit of creative fun.

TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS TAGS WORKSHOP IN DUBBO

Hi Everyone,

I am looking forward to sharing and teaching the Tim Holtz Distress Tag Workshop - Part 1 in Dubbo, on Saturday the 27th April. It amazes me what is possible when using Distress Inks and Stains.

We will be making the first 6 tags out of 10.

I have 2 spots left if anyone would like to attend the Saturday morning session. It starts at 10am on the 27th April at the Sporties Club, Dubbo. This workshop consists of 2 parts. The cost of Part 1 is $25.00 per person.

In Part 2 of the workshop, we will make the remaining 4 tags and then assemble them into one of our Journal Books with instructions. Part 2 costs $25.00 per person.

It certainly has been an exciting time in Kaszazz with the release of our new Alcohol Ink Art Markers. They come in 72 colours to match our SB Essentials cardstock.
