Hi Everyone,
Here are the instructions for the Cyber Crop in January.
***Ingredients***
1 patterned SB paper. A busy pattern would look good. 1 plain SB colour + lots of scraps that will match. 2 photos this time both landscape measuring 3.5" x 2.5". A cluster of embellishments and title and you will be set to play. This is a nice easy one to start off the year xxx
***INSTRUCTION 1***
Start by choosing a pattern paper for your base page, a busy pattern will look best. Also choose a plain SB paper and cut this to measure 11” square. Layer this over the pattern paper, there should be an even border around these all edges. Leave sticking down until a little further along.
Choose a paper, plain or patterned for your photo mats, these are a great
way to make use of scrap pieces. The photos need to be trimmed to measure
3.5” x 2.5” and the mats are 3.75” x 2.75” in size. Attach your photos to the mats
and place them (without sticking down) side by side in the middle of your page.
i.e. 2.5” edges facing together.
***INSTRUCTION 3***
Using scraps of paper, stamps or embellishments create a line of embellishments
all the way across your plain SB paper lining up with the bottom edge of your
photo mats, this may be a row of bunting, buttons, stamped images, use your
imagination…think of it as a washing line under your photos that is displaying
your embellishments and goes from one edge to the other. BUT!!! Leave a gap
under the left hand photo, as we will be adding something here later.
*** INSTRUCTION
4 ***
Create a cluster of embellishments including your title directly above
the photograph on the right hand side, this will line up with the top edge of
the photo mat. Do not stick down yet.
*** INSTRUCTION
5 ***
Above and below the left hand photograph is the place for your
journaling, using a journal stamp or lines of your choice would look great, if
you choose not to journal some light background stamping or paper piecing would
be perfect.
*** INSTRUCTION
6 ***
Move around the elements on your page until it feels balanced and
pleasing to your eye, when you are happy with it start sticking everything down
beginning with the photos then in the order that makes the most sense to you
but do not stick to the base page yet.
*** INSTRUCTION
7 ***
Distress and ink if you like to on your base page and then attach the
plain SB
*** FINAL
INSTRUCTION ***
As always, doodle, journal and add your finishing touches!
