Hi Everyone,
Here are photos of the projects for days 3 and 4 in the blog war.
The first photo is of an ATC that Karen Turner did for a swap on the yahoo group.
Karen used Distress Ink for the stamping and I love the effect that it gives.
You will notice that there are darker and lighter areas in the stamping and that is what makes Distress Inks ideal for heritage layouts.
The second photo is of an ATC that I made for an ATC swap where we had to use Distress Crackle
Paint.
I used Distress Ink in Black Soot for the
stamping. I love using this Elegant Lady stamp.
I used one of the ATC stamps for the word Angel.
I also used Bazzill Basics in Raven and Vanilla.
The colour of the Distress Crackle Paint is "Tea Dye".
Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Distress Ink - Day 2
Hi Everyone,
This is a very simple card but would be great for an older person. I have used 2-step stamping on this card. I love the soft muted colours that distress inks give.
Supplies used:
White Cardstock: 8" x 8"
Distress Ink: Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord
Large White Tag
Stamps: 2 -step Fragipani small and Happy Birthday Graffiti
I will hopefully catch up on the distress ink cards this afternoon and then I can start on the children's cards this week. Better late then never!
Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Distress Ink - Day 1
Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm back with my card creations using Distress Ink.
First of all, distress inks are acid free, non-toxic, fade resistant, water based dyes. They are designed to give an aged, weathered look to papers, photos and more! Currently, we have 24 colours to choose from.

I am quite happy with the way this card turned out.
First of all, I embossed the swirl on the top left hand corner and bottom right hand corner of the card. Then, I used a strip of cardstock and patterned paper to embellish the card. Next, I coloured in the card using Shabby Shutters distress ink and the ink blending tool to create a soft, muted appearance. The card was finished with stamping.
Supplies used:
Ivory Card: 8" x 8"
Bazzill Basics: Petunia
Scrapbooking Paper: Bella - Borders
Ice Stickles: Crystal Ice
Stamp: ATC and Greetings - Happy Birthday
Top Boss Embossing Powder: Ballet Pink
Thanks for your patience in waiting to see what I create.
Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Father's Day Theme - Day 4
Hi All,
Thought I would try something a little different today for the ATC. I used a single colour for this ATC.
As an embellishment, I used the "Father's Day" stamp on Shrinky Dinks. This is great for making your own little decorations. You can stamp on it and then heat to shrink it.
Supplies used:
Supplies used:
Bazzill Bling: Envy
Bella SB paper: Dots: green
Rhinestones: Green
Rick Rack: Green
Stamp: Father's Day
Stamp: Frame (I will have to check on this later)
Vivid Ink: Black
Glossy Accents
I had a great day teaching Father's Day cards to 2 groups of children. Everyone said they enjoyed making their cards and it showed on their little faces.
Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Father's Day Theme - Day 3
Hi Girls,
Sorry, I was running late with todays creation. I was teaching Father's Day Cards at a Post School Program today. All the guys had a great time and so did I.
Anyway, here is todays ATC! Better late than never!
Supplies used:
Bazzill Basics: Black
Adirondack Paint Dabber: Gold
Stamp: Happy Father's Day
Ebony and Ivory SB Paper: Houndstooth and Ribbon
Crystal Ice Stickles
Even though this ATC is quite simple, it still looks effective. Do you agree?
Don't forget to check out the other blogs for more inspiration.
Cheers, Fiona.
