Merry Christmas to All.

Hi Everyone,
I must apologise to you all for being slack in my blog entries. I will be fixing this in the New Year.

Anyway, I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Bright and Prosperous New Year.

I thought a photo of my beautiful daughter, Alice, in front of our Christmas tree would be very fitting for you all to see.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Cheers, Fiona.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Recipes, Food Stamps etc.....

Hi Everyone,

I am finally back after a short while with family commitments. Alice has once again been suffering from her migraines. Poor thing, she was really sick this time, the worst one ever.

I have decided to post some photos from a recipe swap I was involved in.

I love what the girls did with the rollagraph stamp called: Garden Times. The cute letter alphabet is also a great style for titles.

Hope you are all having a great long weekend, and enjoying time with your family.

Happy stamping!

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Distress Ink - Days 3 and 4

Hi Everyone,

Here are photos of the projects for days 3 and 4 in the blog war.

The first photo is of an ATC that Karen Turner did for a swap on the yahoo group.

Karen used Distress Ink for the stamping and I love the effect that it gives.

You will notice that there are darker and lighter areas in the stamping and that is what makes Distress Inks ideal for heritage layouts.

The second photo is of an ATC that I made for an ATC swap where we had to use Distress Crackle
Paint.

I used Distress Ink in Black Soot for the
stamping. I love using this Elegant Lady stamp.

I used one of the ATC stamps for the word Angel.
I also used Bazzill Basics in Raven and Vanilla.

The colour of the Distress Crackle Paint is "Tea Dye".

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Distress Ink - Day 2

Hi Everyone,

This is a very simple card but would be great for an older person. I have used 2-step stamping on this card. I love the soft muted colours that distress inks give.

Supplies used:
White Cardstock: 8" x 8"
Distress Ink: Milled Lavender and Dusty Concord
Large White Tag
Stamps: 2 -step Fragipani small and Happy Birthday Graffiti

I will hopefully catch up on the distress ink cards this afternoon and then I can start on the children's cards this week. Better late then never!

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Distress Ink - Day 1

Hi Everyone,

Well, I'm back with my card creations using Distress Ink.

First of all, distress inks are acid free, non-toxic, fade resistant, water based dyes. They are designed to give an aged, weathered look to papers, photos and more! Currently, we have 24 colours to choose from.

I am quite happy with the way this card turned out.

First of all, I embossed the swirl on the top left hand corner and bottom right hand corner of the card. Then, I used a strip of cardstock and patterned paper to embellish the card. Next, I coloured in the card using Shabby Shutters distress ink and the ink blending tool to create a soft, muted appearance. The card was finished with stamping.

Supplies used:
Ivory Card: 8" x 8"
Bazzill Basics: Petunia
Scrapbooking Paper: Bella - Borders
Ice Stickles: Crystal Ice
Stamp: ATC and Greetings - Happy Birthday
Top Boss Embossing Powder: Ballet Pink

Thanks for your patience in waiting to see what I create.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Day 5

Hi Everyone,

I have been a bit slack with my creations.

Anyway, here is the last ATC in the blog war.

I love the combination of the blue and brown.

Supplies used:
Castaway Card: Mahogany and Ocean Mist
Blue Rhinestone
White Gel Pen
Fluid Chalk Ink: Chestnut Roan and Blue Lagoon
Ribbon: 1/4" Brown, Aqua Stitch
Stamp: Love Postmark

Now to start on Distress Inks.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Father's Day Theme - Day 4

Hi All,

Thought I would try something a little different today for the ATC. I used a single colour for this ATC.

As an embellishment, I used the "Father's Day" stamp on Shrinky Dinks. This is great for making your own little decorations. You can stamp on it and then heat to shrink it.

Supplies used:
Bazzill Bling: Envy
Bella SB paper: Dots: green
Rhinestones: Green
Rick Rack: Green
Stamp: Father's Day
Stamp: Frame (I will have to check on this later)
Vivid Ink: Black
Glossy Accents

I had a great day teaching Father's Day cards to 2 groups of children. Everyone said they enjoyed making their cards and it showed on their little faces.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Father's Day Theme - Day 3

Hi Girls,

Sorry, I was running late with todays creation. I was teaching Father's Day Cards at a Post School Program today. All the guys had a great time and so did I.

Anyway, here is todays ATC! Better late than never!
Supplies used:
Bazzill Basics: Black
Adirondack Paint Dabber: Gold
Stamp: Happy Father's Day
Ebony and Ivory SB Paper: Houndstooth and Ribbon
Crystal Ice Stickles

Even though this ATC is quite simple, it still looks effective. Do you agree?
Don't forget to check out the other blogs for more inspiration.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - ATC - Father's Day Theme

Hi Girls,

I am happy with the way this ATC turned out. I think that this ATC looks very masculine.

Supplies used:
Bazzill Basics: Fawn
Castaway SB Paper: Oceania, Stripes and Sand
Ribbon: 1/4" Brown, Aqua Stitch
Stamp: Car Small
Stamp: Greetings Set: Time is the most precious gift we can share
Magic Mount
Paper Fasteners: Aged Copper

This ATC would be perfect as an embellishment on the front of a card with the "Happy Father's Day" stamp.

Cheers, Fiona.

PS: Don't forget to see what the other girls have been creating in the blog war.

Blog War - 31st August to 4th September

Hi Everyone,

This weeks blog war is Artist Trading Cards (ATC's) with a Father's Day theme.

Artist Trading Cards must measure 3.5" x 2.5" and are like little works of art.

This will be great as Father's Day is fast approaching and you can use an ATC to decorate your card with.

I will be starting on the ATC's today and will upload a photo later.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Fluid Chalk Ink - Day 5

Hi Everyone,

Here is my latest creation using Fluid Chalk Ink. I decided to make up a Father's Day card.

Supplies used:
Oatmeal Card
Ebony and Ivory Paper: Definitions /Spots, Black / Cream Circle, Bracket / Houndstooth.
Stamp: Ebony and Ivory Set: the small square
Stamp: Script Background
Stamp: Happy Father's Day
Stamp: Postmark
Magic Mount
Crystal Ice Stickles
Fluid Chalk Ink: Charcoal
Magic Mount

I loved the idea of using different stamps to create a card. I used the magic mount underneath the quote and the greeting.

I used the Crystal Ice Stickles on the squares on the side of the card. This is great to use to create a beautiful, glittery pearl effect.

Don't forget to check out the other girls blogs to see their creations.

Remember, any projects shown on this blog are made exclusively with Kaszazz products.

Cheers, Fiona.

Blog War - Fluid Chalk Ink - Day 3

Hi Girls,

The technique for this card was taught to me by Carolyn Shaw, a consultant who lives in Grenfell. To make the card you keep stamping around the entire edge of the card, only reinking the stamp after every 2nd stamping. I added Crystal Ice Stickles to the centre of the darkest flowers. A quick card to make but very effective.

Supplies used: Funky Yellow Card
Fluid Chalk Inks: Tangerine and Charcoal
Stamp: Brushed Daisy Small
Stamp: Friends Like Flowers

Thanks for visiting my blog. Don't forget to visit the other girls blogs to see more fantastic creations.

It is great that we belong to a company who has such wonderful products. They make it easy to create.

Happy cardmaking, Fiona.

Hope that you enjoyed my creation.

Till tomorrow, Fiona.

Blog War - Male Cards - Day 4

Hi Girls,

I have finally finished the 4th male card for the Blog War.

I love how Kaszazz have exclusive papers that you can't purchase in a shop.

I decided to use one of the papers from the Azure range. This paper is just lovely, and coordinates with a number of Bazzill Basics perfectly.

I have also used our corner rounder to create the scallop borders.

See you tomorrow with the final male card in the Blog War.

Cheers, Fiona.
